STEPS, RETAINING WALLS, and HARDSCAPE FEATURES

Designers often refer to the "hardscape" areas of a garden as its "bones." Walkways, patios, steps, retaining walls and other "hard" elements give a garden its structure and should be both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
